June Nature Report

Summer has arrived! Here are my monthly dozen shots from walks to Lake St. Clair. I’ve never been one for flower photos, but they are hard to avoid ;) I love the layers of different shades of green, the vines twining over and through everything - that is hard to capture in a snapshot as it’s more an overall atmosphere and it has to do with the quality of the air. There’s a smell too, which I hope someday we will have the technology to capture. One tiny note: while I don’t typically caption individual photos, I have to point out that the turtle is laying eggs at the same spot where eggs had been dug up an eaten (likely by a coyote). That’s a head scratcher.
